PNN Announces Pact to Deliver
300
outlets
Punch Newspaper, Monday August 11, 2008
Lagos Nigeria, August 2008. Private Networks
Nigeria Limited, a leading telecommunication
solutions provider, has announced plans to
rollout one-stop telecommunication services
stores across the country under an agreement
with Speakeezee Nigeria Limited.
The firm said the Speakeezee stores were
designed to be a one-stop-shop for the
acquisition, repair and maintenance of
mobile phones and accessories with a
customer centric focus.
The Managing Director, PNN Limited, Alhaji
AbdulRahman Abiola-Odunowo said 300 stores
were planned for rollout by the end of 2009.
The plans is a fulfillment of the
announcement by PNN in 2007 that it would
deploy mobile phone retail outlets in all
Nigerian cities and towns by December, 2009,
following the injection of expansion capital
by Aureos West Africa.
Speaking at a media session on Friday,
Abiola-Odunowo explained that the agreement
was expected to bridge the missing gap
existing in the delivery of excellent
technical support and unbiased service in
the retail sector of the Telecom industry.
He said the roll out plan would commence in
September, 2008 and entailed opening of
outlets in various parts of the country in
two Phases.
Phase one will see Speakeezee outlets opened
in Lagos Jos, Ado-Ekiti, Kano, Abuja, Port
Harcourt, Asaba and Benin. Phase two will
involve 25 Speakeezee outlets in Lagos,
Kaduna, Abuja, and Warri among others.
According to him, all the outlets will
provide connections to Etisalat, MTN, Celtel,
Glo, Starcomms, Multilinks-Telkom, Visafone,
Zoom and all other networks.
He said, “This agreement with Speakeezee is
the beginning of great things to come. The
Speakeezee brand is synonymous with our
service and value aspirations.”
The founder of Speakeezee, Chief Dotun
Olakunri, explained that the agreement was a
result of close collaboration between his
firm and PNN over the last 10 years.
‘The decision to develop Speakeezee retail
brand with PNN is based on the fact that the
management of PNN has shown an understanding
of what the Speakeezee brand stands for and
what the expectation of Speakeezee clients
are.
‘We believe that the synergy with PNN will
further enable Speakeezee deliver our
excellent value to the Nigerian public who
have consistently yearned for quality and
independent service offerings’.
